Sustainable Practices, Products, & Services:

DePuy Building has recently expanded our business to include projects that increase your home’s efficiency and reduce your carbon footprint. Such services include: Solar and alternative energy, Heat recovery ventilation, Insulation, Reduction of cold air infiltration, Window replacement, and Updating old energy sources.  We also offer Consultations: establish a plan to it your budget while navigating government loans, tax breaks and energy rebates.  Depuy Building has taken many steps over the last few years to improve the way energy is used in an effort to reduce the impacts that conventional  building practices pose to our living environment and local economy. In an effort to reduce petro-derived carbon output, we have converted a work truck to run on waste veggie oil. Likewise we have retrofitted our own home and business workshop to reduce its carbon footprint by super-insulating the building enclosure and incorporate passive solar entities.  We believe that the energy and material invested into a pre-existing building warrants a retrofit to reduce and maintain the energy it uses. This is made possible by insulating and tightening the building envelope, as well as improving water and whole house heater efficiency. Implementing solar and alternative energy here can further the effort to heat home with sustainably harvested energy sources and reduce a building's carbon footprint. Whenever possible we try to use locally harvested and salvaged building materials in order to reduce energy consumed.
