Walking Stick Toys

About Walking Stick Toys: Walking Stick Toys is your gateway to natural, wooden and educational toys in the Rocky Mountains. Walking Stick Toys is a Mama-owned family toy store in Missoula, Montana. The goal of Walking Stick Toys is to provide specialty toys that are environmentally friendly, as well as healthy for your child's stimulation. Our toys are made from cotton, wool, silk, and wood. There are many advantages to using natural resources to make toys, the most important being natural toys are healthy toys for your children.

Sustainable Practices, Products, & Services: I have an online store where I ship things using only reused boxes and packing materials. We recycle at the store and home. MVR picks up our cardboard, etc. once a month. The products I carry are made from sustainable products, wood, wool, cotton and silk. The wooden toys you'll find at WST are made from woods such as beechwood, replenishable preservative-free rubberwood (after it has expanded its use for latex) and maple. The woods are sustainable in the particular areas they come from, which is very important to us! The other materials are silk, wool and cotton - all of these are natural products that are replenishable. Whenever office supplies are needed we look locally. We get most of our furniture (for displaying products) in the store from yard sales, etc. Those are just a few examples of our sustainable business practices.
